5 Horse Walker

Our Claydon horse walker has rubber brick flooring, making it ideal exercise without causing concussion to the horses legs.

30 X 60 Martin Collins and Clopf Fibre Arena

Brand new Martin Collins & Klopf fibre surface top up installed April 2023. Full set of jump4joy showjumps.

4 Monarch Isolation Stables

4 oversized Monarch isolation stables in a separate light and airy barn, with windows looking out to our grass jump/schooling field.

19 Indoor Monarch Stables

Light and airy Monarch indoor stabling with oversized automatic drinkers. Four of our indoor stables are oversized, perfect for rehabilitation livery or box rest.

Turnout

Well maintained paddocks with secure post and electric rope fencing. Horses can be turned out individually or in suitable pairs. We have several hospital paddocks very close to the main yard for controlled turnout.

Hacking

Fantastic hacking from the yard in an area of natural beaty. Explore quiet lanes, Batcombe Downs, or the Dorset Gap, and use our 5-furlong grass gallop just 10 minutes away.

About us

Court Farm Equestrian was originally Carters Barn Equestrian (based in Piddlehinton, nr Dorchester). After a brilliant four and a half years at Carters barn, we needed to expand from our 16 box yard, and are pleased to have taken on Court Farm, Buckland Newton.

We continue to offer high quality full livery, schooling livery, backing livery, hunt, rehabilitation, sales and holiday livery with our existing team of experienced staff. We treat every horse as if they were our own, getting to know each one as an individual and tailoring a care package to suit horse and owner.

We are pleased to accommodate happy hackers, rehabilitation liveries, competition horses and everything in between! We are perfectly placed between South Dorset, Cattistock and B&SV Hunts.

Our 23 box yard is located in a very private but stunning location in the heart of a 500 acre private estate in Buckland Newton with direct access onto miles and miles of bridleways. The hacking is incredibly varied with routes over to Batcombe down and the Dorset Gap. There is plenty of hillwork, perfect for fitness training, as well as quiet lanes, with no need for any road work if you don’t want to. We are always happy to show our liveries the best routes.

The yard and grounds are maintained to a very high standard and are kept clean, tidy and organised.
